It Started as a Thought

A living vessel for collective imagination, bridging the gap between art, technology, and community through radical stewardship. 

Once upon a (space)time, what began as a wild idea evolved into a community-supported ecosystem. At SpaceTime Collaborative, we prioritize the power of the group over the individual, fostering an inclusive environment where creators of all levels can experiment. We operate on a culture of "We over Me," where shared resources and creative freedom are sustained by the radical self-responsibility of every person who walks through our doors. 

The Box of Boom—an interactive robotic drum machine—was the project that first defined our collaborative process. It proved that when we combine disparate skills and voices, we create things that none of us could achieve alone. This spirit of "out-of-the-box" activity remains the heartbeat of everything we build today. 

Our journey took a pivotal turn when we aligned with our friends at the non-profit Dramatic Results. Our shared visions for STEAM-based creativity led us to our current home, allowing us to officially launch in September 2019. Since then, projects and events of all shapes, technologies, and sounds have passed through our large squeaky doors.
